Google AdSense isn’t a money maker anymore

If you’ve been a Google AdSense publisher for a few years, you’ve seen how dramatically the revenues have dropped, with a sharp decline in February of 2009 but since then, it has hit new lows.

A publisher who has access to historical data will see that the revenue derived from each click has been divided by between 5 and 8 while the click rate has melted at least three times.

So, if you web properties haven’t grown by either a factor of 15 to 24, you’ve seen a spectacular revenue drop.

Since last year, most web publishers have managed to make their web destinations much more interactive, useful and attractive but even if that has helped double the unique visitor count, it doesn’t make up for the huge loss in daily revenue — not by a long shot.

The ugly thruth about AdSense is that…

  • it’s either hit by the recession and therefore takes a larger share of each click for itself; or
  • its advertisers are feeling the heat from the failing economy and therefore, advertise less or with less money.

It’s very hard to know which case may be going on but in whichever one it is, the end result is exactly the same for publishers who can’t even call their AdSense revenue “pocket money” anymore because the monthly checks are so ridiculously low.

If you’re experiencing this AdSense revenue freefall, you better start thinking about the alternatives and for the most part, it’s not going to be a competitor, like Yahoo!’s Publisher Network (in which NOBODY can seem to get admitted) or AdBrite. Unless your web site is getting millions of unique visitors a day, AdSense and similar ad networks will NOT be enough to even pay your rent or mortgage.

It’s a sad story, really.

Just a year ago, it was still possible to make a decent living off AdSense but now, it’s mathematically impossible.

So, what do you do?

You have to think of something — my suggestion is that you should buy my 99$ web services reseller store and market it to your customer base. As a rule of thumb, if your site gets 10k visitors daily, you’re probably getting between 5$ and 20$ through PPC ad networks (if you’re lucky) but if you sell your domain names $25, you could pocket a healthy profit of $16.51 with the “Basic” buy rate at $8.49 and $17.71 with the “Pro” buy rate at $7.29 — wow!

With just one (1) domain name sale per day, you could make more than with an entire day of PPC and since both revenue generation models are perfectly compatible and complementary, you can even keep you AdSense ads on while you gradually entice your visitors to register all their web services with you, starting with their domain names!

If you’re tired of getting stressed out because the end of the month is coming, you know you owe it to yourself to try something else that’s immensely more reliable, like selling domain names which means annually recurring sales and web hosting which usually implies monthly recurring sales. In other words, the longer you resell web services, the richer you’ll get.

Seriously, AdSense has failed most of its web publishers and the rest of us are barely getting by — even with visitor count numbers!

Switching to selling domain names is a smart move and once you become a reseller, you too will have a store like mine where all your customers can puchase their domain names, web hosting, SSL certificates and just about every other web service you can think of… all for a profit that’s mostly end up in your pockets.

Don’t let this opportunity pass you by, it’s solid, proven and reliable. Get your online store now!

Reselling web services for profit

Lots of web professionals have thought about reselling web services for profit but surprisingly, very few have actually done it.

Why is that?

For the main part, web professionals already have a busy schedule so reselling web services such as domain names, web hosting and SSL certificates is hardly an option.

However, there exists a reseller program that handles 100% of these offerings, through a finely crafted web services storefront (which can be extensively customized), including the payments and customer service calls!

With this program, your customers —current and future— will be able to buy all the web services themselves, in YOUR ONLINE STORE. The payment part is entirely handled for you and when customers call for customer service, they answer with YOUR business name — in my case, they answer “This is Logix, how may I help you?” because “Logix” is the name of my local web consulting company.

So this is amazing enough but is this business opportunity worth spending 99$ upfront, for it?

In my opinion, absolutely.

With the “basic reseller” package, you get a full year of steady revenue coming from all the customers who will be spending money in your online store. It adds up very quickly and it’s steady income for as many years as you’ll be keeping your reseller store open — mine has been opened for 6 years and I’ve already prepaid the next 10 years.

This is a sound, reliable and no nonsense money maker and if you know how to market your new store online, you’ll be getting much fatter checks.

For instance, I have thousands of “friends” in several social networking platforms (MySpace, Facebook, NetLog, Gather, Twitter and such) and when I post a message advertising “You can buy your .COM domain names under 10$ with ALL the value added services free” between 10 and 50 people go to the store and actually register domain names and buy web hosting to launch their own blog or do anything else they please. Do that —in rotation— and without exagerating in all your social networking sites and you’ll be impressed by how much money that generates (in the low thousands of dollars, per month).

And here’s a kicker: you get to set your prices!

That’s right! If you want to sell .COM domain names at 100$ a pop, per year (like NetSol has done for so long), it’s up to you! Lots of richer folks getting online nowadays don’t even mind paying that much because of all the free services you’ll be giving them, in return (they’re all available automatically so don’t worry about “giving them” yourself).

Reselling web services is a wonderful online business.

Everything that matters is automated. You could be on vacation all year long (I personnally take care of my kids, all year long… and I love it) and the checks will just keep rolling in, as long as you’re smart enough to know how to minimally market your reseller storefront (which doesn’t even require that you purchase a domain name, although it’s better if you do).

So, are you tired of having trouble making ends meet? Would a few hundred or thousand dollars a month help?

Relegate your “pay-per-click” venture (like Google AdSense’s shrinking revenues) to a distant second and enjoy a new —healthy and reliable— revenue stream from your very own web services reseller storefront where your customers will find your services at the price YOU determine.

If you’re serious about making money online, this is it so go ahead and open up your storefront right away.
